School Schedule & Procedures
Morning Arrival Procedures
- School begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 2:20 p.m. each day. Children are expected to arrive at the school between 8:00 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. All students who arrive after 8:10 AM are automatically marked late.
- Parent(s)/ Families must drop students off in the school yard. 3K-2nd grade students will meet their teachers in the school yard every morning. Once scholars become familiar with walking to their classrooms, teachers/ School Aides will be positioned and monitoring outside by the entrances and in our hallways to support students and ensure safety protocols.
- 3K - 2nd Grade enters through the doors near the park on Hemlock St.
- Grades 3 - 5 enter through the doors in the middle of Hemlock St.
DOUBLE PARKING is not allowed even for ANY reason. Due to Buses needing space to drop off students to school, we advise students to step out in front of the school yard and to be walked into the yard if driving. All morning greeting staff are required to be outside by the entrances to monitor students’ arrival.
- Identification:
- All visitors are by appointment only and are required to show ID, sign-in at the security desk and get a visitor’s pass.
- Although we welcome all of our families and would love to see them, in order to keep everyone safe there are no visitors allowed in the school at any time unless they have an appointment.
Dismissal Procedures
Pick-up time is 2:10 PM for all students 3K - 5th grade in the schoolyard. All families are to pick up their children on time at 2:10 PM until 2:20 PM . After 2:20 PM, teachers will bring students inside to the auditorium, and parent(s)/families will be contacted as the students wait to be picked up. If you are picking up your child late, contact the main office OR contact the hometeacher(s). We really appreciate your communication of your child/children's safety.
- Inclement Weather Dismissal:
Due to the safety concerns and protocols to keep everyone safe, dismissal will take place in the auditorium.
