Equity Vision Statement
PS 224 is committed to ensuring an equitable and inclusive learning community for every scholar to achieve their highest potential by providing small group differentiated instruction, culturally relevant pedagogy, and socio-emotional supports.
Technology and the arts will be infused in the school’s common core aligned curriculum to enhance, engage, and stimulate learning for all. Scholars will have the opportunity to explore their creative abilities and develop 21st century skills (communication, collaboration, creativity, & critical thinking) to compete in a global economy.
Scholars at PS 224 know that in order to be Successful they must… Have Respect and Integrity. Become Victorious through Effort and Engagement.
To produce a climate that is equitable and inclusive for all stakeholders in order to cultivate a culture of empowered learners and culturally responsible advocates.
To empower all stakeholders within our school community through the utilization of awards, incentives, character education, and positive recognition in order to promote a conducive environment for teaching and learning.
